Spontaneous Romantic Getaways

rolling-garment-bagIt’s important for couples, new and old, to have a spontaneous getaway together now and then. Far too often couples, especially those who are married, become bogged down with everyday life and don’t have time for each other. For couples like that, there’s nothing that rejuvenates a relationship like getting out and experiencing the world with each other. It’s important to introduce a little bit of spontaneity into all relationships to ensure love doesn’t become an act of monotony. There have been numerous studies conducted that illustrate couples who spend time together on a regular basis stick together longer, and also find it easier to work through tough periods in their relationships.

One of the best ways to introduce a little spontaneity into a relationship is to plan a romantic getaway, with plan being a loosely defined word in this case. Plan an overnight to a bed and breakfast, and just take a rolling garment bag for clothes. Let the kids stay with relatives or friends for the weekend and spend time together at a resort or even enjoying the great outdoors. These kinds of little spontaneous vacations can save and improve relationships.

A Traveler’s Dream Come True

shoes-largeColeman Adventure Traveler luggage is a godsend for anyone who’s spent any time on the road.  My job takes me all over the country, and I swear I must spend a third of my waking hours at the airport.  It’s truly convenient when you have everything you need or want right at your fingertips, well organized and ready for use.

It certainly doesn’t hurt that this is built to last, either.  If I had a dollar for every time security pulled me aside to go through my stuff…but even through all of the airport abuse and unwelcome intrusions, this bag is still going strong without so much as a single loose thread.

Souvenirs From Across the Seas

travelOne of my favorite things about traveling is the souvenirs I bring home.  I discovered on my first international trip recently that there are a lot of governmental regulations regarding what can be brought back into the United States in your Best Coleman Carryon Luggage.  Check the U. S. Customs official website before your trip!  There are strict guidelines for products related in any way to wildlife, particularly involving endangered species.  Foreign or domestic law will often prohibit import or export of these items, and travelers face a fine and confiscation if you attempt to bypass the rules.  Prohibited goods include all products made from sea turtles; most types of coral, whether mounted in jewelry or loose; most crocodile or caiman leather; furs from spotted cats or marine mammals; feathers and feather products from wild birds; and all ivory, including rhinoceros tusks as well as tusks of African or Asian elephants.

There is one notable exception that often involves the import of ivory.  Ivory may be imported into the United States if you can prove it is at least 100 years old.  You will be required to present written documentation to that authenticates the age of the item.  Other antiques containing wildlife products will have similar procedures to verify age before being approved for U. S. import, and other requirements for antiques may apply in addition to proof of age.  For specific guidelines and the most current regulations, contact the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
